When launching the game for the first time (via Steam), LariLauncher.exe gives the message, "you must install .NET Desktop Runtime (6.0.2). Would you like to?" After clicking "yes", downloading and installing .NET to the same bottle, and then relaunching BG3, the same message comes up again. What to do?
Note that this game has a native Mac version.

You can get past the launcher problem. See the Tips section for a workaround on Steam and GOG. (You can launch the game directly from its .exe file.)
