Works Great

I just installed the trial version of CrossOver 6.1.0 on MacOSX 10.4.9 and downloaded and installed AOPA Flight Planner v1.2.2 (build 10320). So far I haven't noticed any of the issues mentioned with earlier versions. All fonts appear correctly and clearly and, most importantly, performing a weather info download from DTC Duat did NOT result in a flight plan filing.

Including myself, I've now heard from 3 people who have had great
success with 6.1.0! I just changed my rating to gold because I
couldn't find anything that it didn't do just fine. I wish I knew
how to attempt to re-create the issue someone else listed elsewhere
about RTFP filing a false flight plan because I suspect that the
new version won't have this problem. Anybody claim that note?

I just installed it under 6.2 and I could not get it to get a weather briefing at all; it looked like it was about to try but then put up a dialog saying that the session ended "prematurely" but nothing had been retrieved. I suppose this might be due to DTC being momentarily down; I will try again later.

Hi Charles, I was a little nervous about upgrading Crossover when I read your post, but since it's now up to v6.2.1 I decided to give it a try. The first time trying to launch RTFP I got an error saying the application couldn't be opened even though it actually did open. Subsequent launches occur without any issues at all.

RTFP still runs good. I opened a saved route and got a route weather briefing from DUAT. The connection and download seems to go even faster than when running under the previous version of Crossover.

So thumbs up to running RTFP 1.22 (build 10320) on Crossover 6.2.1. My hardware is a MacBookPro 2GHz with 2GB RAM and Mac OSX 10.4.11.
