I have crossover now. My system is mac os X 10.5.8. I'm trying to install Nancy drew ransom of the seven ships. It has 2 cds and the past nancy drew games install perfectly. I try to do both express and advance but it wont eject the first disk to put the second one during installation when it asks for the second disk. If someone could tell me what to do that will be great.
A workaround to try is make .dmgs of each of the game discs and have them mounted at the same time when you install the game, that way there's no need to eject one CD for another.
Look for the CD in the upper-left portion of the Disc Utility, it should be an
indented entry under the DVD-R drive, itself
With the CD highlighted, click on File->new->disc image from disk1(diskname)
Save it to your desktop in DVD/CD Master format, and click save
This will give you a file in .cdr format, which is really the same thing as a .dmg. You can mount a .cdr by double-clicking on it in the same way as a .dmg. With a two-CD install, you'll want to mount both of them at the same time.
You might also try copying the contents of both discs to a folder on your desktop, and then run the installer from there. You'll want to pick the "choose installer file" option to browse into the folder
and select the "setup.exe" or appropriate installation file. I've heard this to be successful from other Nancy Drew users.
1- launch a finder window. Click on the "eject arrow" adjacent to the mounted CD in the Left Pannel.
2- Right click on the disk image located on the Desktop, (Or "ctl-click" with a 1-button mouse). It will bring up a panel which contains the option "eject disc". Click on that and the disc will eject.
Most installers simply sit there idling waiting for the 2nd (or more) CDs to be inserted.
