You need to understand the product that is Crossover. What Crossover does is make software never created for anything but Windows, that isn't supposed to work at all on anything but Windows, work anyway on your Mac or Linux box. This is a technological miracle that Crossover pulls off with many software out there. In other words, unless Quicken is ever made for Mac, officially, it should never have worked at all.
For the Codeweavers staff to produce Crossover, they need to analyze, understand, and integrate that understanding of the underlying windows mechanisms so as to translate the software's intructions to be usable instructions by your Mac. Crossover is therefore always playing catchup to Windows and software created for it. Frankly, if a 2014 edition of anything works while still in 2013, it would be just great, but you can't expect it. The new Quicken might use some new programmatic path (or API) which isn't yet available in Crossover, or isn't fully implemented. I'm sure Codeweavers is working on it of course.
In other words, the development of Crossover must be a daunting task, as Windows is a blackbox that Codeweavers must understand without ever really looking in it (so as not to get entangled in the legal problems of reverse engineering). Each newly created software brings them new mysteries to solve and difficulties to overcome. Quicken 2014 will work eventually...
As for Quicken 2011 slowness, might I suggest a support ticket instead of using the forum? You probably would get a faster more precise response.
Quicken 2014 is using a new GUI compared to previous versions, and we weren't able to get it to a usable state in time for CrossOver 13. We are working on it.
But I wouldn't expect it to run any faster than Quicken 2011.
I've been running Quicken 2013 for months, and it seems to run acceptably fast. I got Quicken 2014 and (foolishly) hadn't looked at the compatibility list, it crashes pretty much immediately. So, unless you can get it on sale I'd wait until Codeweavers has Crossover ready. It shouldn't be too long. I'm just going to keep using 2013 until then.
My Quicken 2011 will expire in April per Intuit's sunset policy, which apparently is now being enforced aggressively. The consequence is that I will no longer be able to use the program to download financial information unless I upgrade to Quicken 2014. Please Codeweavers gurus, do your best to make CrossOver compatible with this program by April! As there is no functional Mac version of the software and no alternative that is even remotely close, this is the only option that exists for Apple OS users besides using a VM and installing Windows.
Honeslty if this is a dire situation for you, and you think Codeweavers might not be aware of the new enforcement against old quickens, maybe sending an email to info@codeweavers.com is the way to go.
Done.
Per CodeWeavers, an update is coming later in January which will include Quicken 2014 compatibility.
Crossover 13.1 was just released today with support for quicken 2014. Anyone get it to work? I tried Home and Business 2014 and just get a grey screen after the install is done. No errors reported during new install.
Not working finishes dot net and locks with attempt to unzip actual software

I got that once, no idea why. Quit Crossover and try launching Quicken again and it came right up.
I'm not certain on this, but my guess for these is the Quicken 2014 Installer .exe you have is actually the 1-2Mb Amazon Downloader, not the full Quicken installer.
When you buy software from Amazon they initially give you their tiny Downloader app which you run and it pulls down the full program from their servers. But the Amazon Downloader doesn't run in Crossover (anymore, it's been cat-and-mouse to try and get it work) so you need to either:
1) Contact Amazon and have them send you the retail CD which has the full program
2) Run the Downloader on Windows so it can pull down the full Quicken installer .exe - and then keep that in case you need to reinstall in the future
3) Purchase from somewhere else like Intuit and they give you the full installer by default
Once you've got the full Quicken 2014 installer .exe (90-120Mb in size roughly) do the same Quicken install routine in Crossover and it'll work.
This post applies to Mike's post. Don't know how to do it from here.
I was delighted when I checked for updates in crossover and found the update which "works with Quicken 2014." After applying the update and attempting to install quicken from cd all seemed to go well till it was time to run quicken. As MIke experienced, all that comes up is a big blank white/gray screen. Hovering over the quicken icon on the dock shows wineloader. Several bottle deletes and attempts to install quicken successfully had the same result. Thinking the crossover update failed, I went into time machine and restored the previous version of crossover, applied the crossover update to 13.1.0.27669 and then attempted to install quicken 2014 with the same result. Quicken 2014 works in Parallels but I still run XP and support for that version of windows is ending in April. On the last attempt for now, I told the installer to install the program in a different subdirectory (Quicken 2014) thinking there might be some conflict with quicken 2013 files. This had the same results as the others. Hoping that codeweavers has a soluition soon.
Go to the website and find:
Install Quicken 2014 via CrossTie
It worked perfectly.
If you try to use the quicken install download, then crossover doesn't do the install properly. The crosstie is the key.
Quicken2014 Installation doesnt work i used crosstry but the installatin doesnt end
