Independence War Deluxe

Independence War is the ultimate starship simulator. Accurate modeling of Newtonian physics, fully-modeled individually-maintainable ships systems, and an immersive branching storyline with multiple possible endings come together to create a mind-blowing space odyssey. The story involves a war for independence between Earth's colonies (represented by the Independent Navy - or the Indies) and the Commonwealth Navy, perpetuated by an insidious merchant organisation known as COSA. The Deluxe edition of Independence war contains both the original game, Independence War, and a sequel originally designed to be an add-on pack, called Defiance. In Independence War, you play the part of a nameless captain in the Commonwealth Navy, tasked with reunifying the colonies with the Earth government. The story unfolds as you retrieve your ship from a graveyard left-over from a battle years in the past. Together with your crew and the unusual AI copy of the ship's original captain, you command the Dreadnaught and fly her in a long and deeply-involving series of missions where every decision you make has the opportunity to change the course of the story. In Defiance, you play the part of Edison Hayes, an Indie captain tasked with defending the colonies from the Commonwealth and guaranteeing their freedom from tyranny. You and your crew command the stolen Spartacus and begin a journey toward freedom.
